Lojong: The Seven Points of Mind Training

8 Thursday evenings: Sept 28 through Nov 16, 2017, 7:00-8:30pm

IN THIS CLASS, we will begin the investigation the Seven Points of Mind Training and fifty-nine slogans designed to help us to transform all of life’s circumstances into practice. The fifty-nine slogans form a very skillful set of antidotes to the habitual patterns of thoughts and emotion that cause us suffering

These teachings were brought to Tibet in the eleventh century and have since been practiced by all Tibetan lineages.

Each class will include meditation, presentation and discussion. The class is available by live stream and recorded video and audio.

This series is intended for intermediate levels of meditators with experience and understanding of Buddhist principles.  Please join Pat for 8 interesting and lively evenings that could profoundly affect your life.

Prerequisites: Experience with meditation, and understanding of Buddhist principles is required.  If you have questions about whether this is the right class for you, please contact us.

Location: Sukhasiddhi Center, Fairfax CA.

Cost: Sliding scale, $85 – $125. New students may attend the first class by donation before deciding to join the series. Scholarships are available, please indicate this on your registration.

patberubePat Berube first started meditating over 30 years ago and has studied with Asian and Western teachers. For over 14 years, she has studied with Lama Palden, completing both the 5-year Shangpa lineage program and intra-lineage teachers training. She holds a masters degree in counseling and has been an RN for nearly 40 years. Her personal interest is in psycho-spirtual development and integrating the dharma in everyday life. Pat directs the Clear Light Institute at Sukhasiddhi, which supports contemplative approaches to dealing with illness, death, and dying.
