Shangpa Kagyu’s Six Armed Protector : A Transmission in Fearlessness
Lama Drupgyu will give the Chagdrukpa Empowerment on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 7pm. Having taken formal refuge vows is required to take this empowerment; refuge will be offered at the start of the empowerment for those who have not taken formal vows. Registration is also required.
Six-arm Mahakala (Tibetan: Chagdrukpa), the fierce form of Chenresig, and the primary Shangpa lineage protector, is a transmission of fearlessness, supporting practitioners to overcome obstacles on the path to enlightenment and in daily life. Please join us for this precious empowerment.
If you are engaged in yidam practice, you may take this as a practice empowerment, committing to recitation of a four-line prayer each day for life. Others may take this empowerment as a blessing.
Arrive at least 10 minutes before the empowerment is to start; doors will be locked and no one will be admitted once the empowerment begins. Please note – ending time is approximate.
Cost: Donation is $25, which is paid online when you register. It is also customary to make a donation to the empowering Lama with a kata which will follow the empowerment. Katas and envelopes will be available.
