Lama Palden will give the Sukhasiddhi Empowerment on Saturday, September 7, at 4 pm.
SUKHASIDDHI, after whom our center is named, attained the highest level of realization. She was one of the four most important teachers of Kyungpo Naljor, the founder of the Shangpa lineage. Kyungpor Naljor considered Sukhasiddhi and Niguma, two women, to be the kindest of his four main teachers.
Appearing in rainbow body, Sukhasiddhi bestowed many teachings on Kyungpo Naljor and subsequent lineage holders. She promised to always sustain and bless the holders and students of the Shangpa tradition. This continues to the present day. At Sukhasiddhi Foundation, we continue to practice the meditations she bestowed. A Sukhasiddhi Phowa retreat is being held September 12-15, 2019. Phowa is the Vajrayana practice of the transference of consciousness at the time of death. For more information on the retreat, click here. Taking the Sukhasiddhi empwowerment is a prerequisite for the retreat.
