In the current period of social and political uncertainty fact and fiction are too often obfuscated; greed and power have become the norm; and even in religious contexts institutional imperatives too often replace the essential message of freedom of action and personal responsibility. At this time intellectual clarity and personal integrity have become vital.
In such circumstances it is essential to understand that the Buddhist path of awakening is not “other worldly”, but is intended to empower us and fortify us in recognizing and becoming competent in embracing the reality of our immediate experience. In particular the profound methods of Vajrayana provide us with a path to becoming masters of complexity.
- How is it that a commitment to the pursuit of personal integrity can guarantee our own well being, while providing us the ability to be an agent for good in the world around us?
- What is the meaning of integrity in the context of the path of awakening?
- How can we understand personal integrity as the key to assuring the purity of the awakening process while at the same time being its fruition?
These are some of the topics that will be explored by Lama Drupgyu in his talk at Sukhasiddhi Foundation. Please join us.
Cost: $20, payable when registering. The talk will be available by live stream video and also recorded video for viewing at your convenience.
