Wisdom River Sunday

The Journey to Wholeness: Transforming the Harm of Shame

10:00am – Noon

The Journey to Wholeness is a human journey that we all take at some point in our lives. The focus of this morning is on understanding how shame harms our sense of self, including practices that help us “walk the mystical path” to restore balance and reconnect us to our innate goodness and indestructible essence.

Where does shame come from? We live in a pressure-packed world, where the emphasis on outer achievement and the pressure to succeed can overshadow one’s sense of competence and inner peace.  The persistent experience of not measuring up to any perceived norm – being different — whether social, academic or work-related can lead to ongoing anxiety and unnerving shame.  This shuts down potential and undermines one’s sense of well-being, often leading to feelings of being broken and alone.   But feelings are not our deepest truth.

Join us on this Journey to Wholeness.

Come join us for Wisdom River Sundays – a morning of meditation, community and wisdom.

Location: Sukhasiddhi Center, Fairfax CA.

Cost:  Donations always welcome.
