Whether you’re working on a book or want to use writing for spiritual integration, this 8-week writing immersion will help you establish a creative, enlivening writing practice in the midst of your daily life. In an atmosphere of warmth and non-judgment, free of criticism, we will meet every other week for 8 weeks to meditate, write together from evocative prompts and dive deeper into the writing we’ve been doing. We will also share intentions for our time between sessions and meet by phone with a writing partner during off weeks. This approach to writing draws on the mind of meditation to access the natural stream of your expression, and on intuition to explore new areas that open up for you in your free writing. Please bring a notebook and a pen.
All levels of writers and meditators are welcome.
Jane Brunette teaches and writes about meditation, spirituality and creating a soulful life in challenging times. She created Writing from the Soul, an approach to writing that has sprouted groups around the world, and she mentors individuals in writing and in spiritual practice. Trained as a psychotherapist and authorized as a Dharma teacher, she has spent many years outside of the consumer matrix cycling in and out of spiritual retreat.
