With the changes occurring at Sukhasiddhi, a new role was created, the Outreach and Membership Director, and Greg Garner has happily stepped into it. Here are a few words from Greg:
It is an exciting time to be involved with Sukhasiddhi, particularly with the new Wisdom River initiative being developed, Lama Palden’s anticipated new book and class, Love on Every Breath, along with the ongoing breadth of offerings at Sukhasiddhi. The Sukhasiddhi center is truly a special place that’s made that way by all the people who walk through the doors. And we invite all of you to come for a class or an event.
You may be wondering, who is this outreach person? Ok, well, a little about me – I became involved with Sukhasiddhi about four years ago when looking for a new sangha, and I knew I had to check out Sukhasiddhi since I had previously come to know Lama Palden. From my initial exposure to Sukhasiddhi at an open house and prayer day, the quality of the people, both teachers and members, kept drawing me to become more involved. The internal drive to fully know and experience ones true nature, something prevalent among Sukhasiddhi members, is most inspiring. I am currently in the second year of the Bodhi program.
As members and students of Sukhasiddhi, we are the ones that make it what it is. Sukhasiddhi was created to practice Buddhist meditation, but to most members it has become much more. You have the opportunity to assist in Sukhasiddhi’s evolution by expressing any comments or questions regarding your experiences at the center. What is it that you may like or not, any comments on what you may be seeking, do you have any thoughts on what you would like to see occur at the Center, any comments about what works better for you at the Center? Please let me know, you may email me here. I will also be at the Meditation and Open House on Sunday, March 4th, which starts at 10am. More information
I look forward to meeting and hearing from you.
