We have all suffered from Life’s problems:  trauma, loss, grief and many other painful experiences that have covered over our innate goodness, preventing us from feeling the happiness that is our birthright.

Wisdom teachings guide us towards satisfying our urgent desire towards Wholeness:  recovering our natural state, feeling good about ourselves and others, coming to know this world that we live in is perfect just as it is.

A Death Cafe is an open, respectful, confidential and safe space where people can discuss death and impermanence, and reflect on what is of most importance and value in life.

We live in a culture that denies old age, sickness, death and impermanence. Death Cafe opens the discussion and aspires to provide a safe space for all of us to evolve into a society that accepts death as a part of life.

Cost is $30; which may be paid online or at the door.

Bring a yoga mat, blankets, pillow, eye mask, and water bottle, etc. to make yourself comfortable and warm. No scents or perfume please.

Dharma off the Cushion: Engaging Practice in the 21st Century is our new Wisdom River speaker series that will explore different ways the fruits of our practice are being offered in the world. We are inviting an array of speakers who are actively engaged in making a difference. They will share about their work, how they came to it and how dharma practice informs what they are doing. It is our hope that this inspiring series will ignite your imagination and offer insights on how you can begin to weave your practice into more and more aspects of your community life.
