We will come together again for the second part of the Buddhist Perspectives on Death and Dying course. The first session was an intimate, fun, and powerful exploration into the mysteries of Death and Dying through a Buddhist Lens. We unpacked the origins of the Tibetan Book of the Dead, identified many tenets of Buddhism as fuel for living an awakened life through constant awareness of impermanence, and perhaps most importantly, we told each other our own stories.

Part two will continue this journey. We will model our class after Je Tsong-Khapas Lam Rim’s Graded Stages of the Path chapter on The Mindfulness of Death: “The Three Roots and Nine Branches.” In so doing, we will be studying the foundational Lam Rim teachings as well as use each root and branch as an invitation to weave our own stories into the rich tapestry that makes the Sukhasiddhi Sangha so unique.

Recordings of the first session are now available for review or for those joining us for the first time. No prior experience in Buddhism is necessary.
