Buddhist Perspectives on Death and Dying Part Two
We will model our class after Je Tsong-Khapas Lam Rim (Graded Stages of the Path) chapter on The Mindfulness of Death: “The Three Roots and Nine Branches.” In so doing, we will be studying the foundational Lam Rim teachings as well as use each root and branch as an invitation to weave our own stories into the rich tapestry that makes the Sukhasiddhi Sangha so unique.
Death and Dying from a Buddhist Perspective: Session 3
This course will explore some of the treasures from the Buddhist Tradition related to Death and Dying. Of all the schools of Buddhism, the Tibetan tradition goes into this area the deepest.
Our course will start with identifying the many little deaths we’ve already had in our life, as well as the many bardos, or in-between states which are a part of our daily lives. Becoming familiar with those will lead us into how to be more present with the death process at the end of our lives.

Renunciation: The Lifeforce of all Dharma Practice
This 3-session series is part of our Awake in the World series and will cover renunciation from a variety of angles. Our first session on October 23rd will introduce us to the topic from many perspectives. We’ll discuss what renunciation is and is not, and how we can immediately begin to infuse our every moment of daily life with this necessary, dynamic dharmic force.
