Morning Lujong (Tibetan Yoga) and Meditation
Please Note: Tuesday Lujong will meet in-person & online on Tuesday, September 24, but will return to online only beginning Tuesday, October 1.
Join us Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30AM – 11:00AM (Pacific)
Lujong practice, Tibetan yoga, can help invigorate our body and mind, center and stabilize our being. Lujong has been designed over centuries to provide that strength from within, and to support physical, mental and emotional well-being.
The exercises in Lujong influence our entire system from the physical to the most subtle and profound. It is an enlivening practice, designed to uncoil the knots in our energy system and open the energy flows of the body. It is done in standing positions, so needs no special equipment or mats, and can be either vigorous or gentle, depending on the needs of your body.
9:30AM - 11:00AM Pacific (time zone converter)
The online session will consist of approximately 40-minutes of lujong followed by a quiet meditation, with instruction and guidance as needed.
Donations gratefully accepted.
Suggested donation: $10-20, or what you can offer.
No prior experience is necessary and there is no need to register in advance – just drop in!

Upcoming Event
Awakening the Body, Awakening the Mind: Tibetan Yoga (Lujong) and Meditation
Saturday, October 26
10 AM - 1 PM PT
Led by Trinity Sipila and Ian Albert
Join us in person at Wisdom River Meditation Center (7110 Redwood Blvd, Suite B., Novato, CA) or Online via Zoom
Join us for a morning of Lujong (Tibetan Yoga) and meditation as we explore the relationship between body and mind on the path towards the realization of our true nature. For many of us, the practice of Yoga provides a powerful entry into an inner domain of self-exploration from which we may then become curious about the comprehensive approach to meditation found within the Buddhist tradition.
We’ll present meditation as a practice of the body as well as the mind, and then look at how Lujong incorporates the profound meditative principles of Vajrayana Buddhism. Lujong is a moving meditation which awakens the body, strengthening our capacity to be grounded, centered and present. Because Lujong is an active form of movement meditation it is a powerful way to help us bring our meditation into our everyday lives. Lujong works with both the subtle, physical, and most profound dimensions of our body/mind. Our morning together will include discussion and accessible sessions of meditation and Lujong suitable for all levels of experience.
Fee:
$85 (base)
$108 (benefactor)
$70 (Sukhasiddhi Members)
REGISTRATION DEADLINE is 12 PM Pacific on Monday, October 21.
**If a minimum of 10 registrations, with 5 in-person, are not received by this deadline, the event will be rescheduled for a later date.**
