Join us as our study group continues the exploration of Buddhist Prison Ministry's second workbook : Prayers + Practices: Activating Buddhism into your Daily Life.
Each week you will receive a Lesson/Chapter along with practices and questions to support the integration of the teachings into your daily life. We will have an opportunity to practice and explore these topics as a group.
4/15 The spiritual journey (plus Potential Challenges) + Taking Refuge
4/22 Breath Practice / Three Gates of Awakening
4/29 Aspiration / Dedication and The Five Precepts
5/6 Four Brahma-Viharas
5/13 The Six Perfections
5/20 The Seven Branch Prayer
If you participated in the first study group focused on Work Book One: Introduction to Buddhism, that will support your discovery in Workbook Two, but it's not required. Open to those who are new to Buddhism, are Buddhist-curious as well as seasoned practitioners. All faith traditions welcome!
Please register for first class whether you plan to attend all 6-sessions, or drop-in.
