GREEN TARA

Deepen your experience of the divine feminine.

For Tibetans, Tara is the most beloved of all the female awakened beings. Green Tara's primary activity is one of protection from fear and danger, and she is committed to responding swiftly the moment that we call upon her. Through visualization, mantra, and silent meditation, we deepen our experience of the divine feminine while simultaneously awakening this quality of compassion that is innate to our being, yet often obscured.

The Green Tara practice transforms our distorted view of self and helps us recognize our innate radiant, compassionate nature.

“Meditating on Tara helps us awaken our buddhanature. Through continued meditation practice on her, we can establish a relationship in which we are able to trust and rely on her. It is like getting to know a new friend — we have to invite her over to our home many times until we get to know her. The more we are able to open to her, the more she is able to benefit us.”
